Katz Interiors provided this stunning design for the recently completed Park Apartments’ communal areas. These outstanding properties were opened in the late spring of 2016 in Latvia’s exclusive resort city of Jurmala.
Park Apartments is a premium class apartment/hotel complex on the coast of the Baltic Sea offering 27 apartments for short and long-term rental. The apartment/hotel building offers an extensive high end package including a full concierge service, secured parking, a fully equipped gym and beauty salon.
Katz designers envisaged and fabricated the interiors for all the communal areas of the Park Apartments hotel – these include the 176.8 square metres of sumptuous lobby, reception area, hallways, stairwells, and restrooms.
These modern, cutting edge interiors were inspired by contemporary artists and the coast of Jurmala and are the author’s vision of a modern resort style.
The colour palette chosen in these areas is an earthy gravel coupled with a naturally vibrant amber and calming beige. Bright accents of red and purple in the upholstery accentuate the energy of the local area.
The magnificent quality of the materials used, from the Italian travertine on the flooring, to the exquisite black granite on the stairs, to the decorative plaster on the walls, and to the oak and leather of the reception areas highlights the exclusive and prestige of the complex.
The bespoke furniture is made from original Katz design and from established, award winning blue chip brands, including: Cappelini, Cassina, Flexform, Poliform, Molteni, Andrew Martin, and Pols Potten.
The finished product is elegantly lit by Porta Romana and Delightfull. And with the anterior by Jonathan Adler and finishing by Philip Whats, an air of subtle decadence is added to the project.
