From snorkeling in the freshwater cenotes to climbing Mayan ruins and from swimming with manatees to watching musical shows at the Xcaret Eco Theme Park, this beautiful part of Mexico is well worth visiting.

There’s no shortage of places to stay here, and there are resorts to suit everyone. From all-inclusive hotels with plenty of activities to keep the children entertained while Mom and Dad relax around the pool to self-catering accommodation where everyone can stretch out and do there own thing, the Riviera Maya represents an unforgettable vacation spot.

Orlando, Florida, USA

One of the very best vacation destinations for families from all over the world has to be Orlando, Florida. After all, it’s home to The Happiest Place On Earth, Disney World Resort, so you can be absolutely certain the kids will be delighted. There are no less than four Disney theme parks plus two Disney water parks here, and that’s before you even look at all the other options. Universal Studios has two theme parks and then there’s Sea World and its water park Aquatica. You can swim with dolphins at Discovery Cove, play mini golf, discover a world of shopping opportunities, ride the Orlando Eye, visit Ripley’s Believe It Or Not and that’s before you head a little further afield. With beaches just an hour’s drive away and the opportunity to experience an air boat road on the headwaters of the Everglades, you’ll be so tired after your vacation that you’ll need to take another break to recover!

London, England

If you’re looking for an amazing city break, London, England is hard to beat. There’s so much history here to discover that even the most difficult to please family member is sure to be amazed. The Tower of London dates back to the 11th century which is impressive enough, and that’s before you hear about all the executions that took place here and see the Crown Jewels in real life! Madame Tussaud’s waxworks museum is huge and is packed with opportunities to take photos with famous faces, while the West End is home to countless theaters where you can enjoy some of the biggest named shows and musicals on the planet. There are lots of exciting museums here too which are all free of charge including the V&A, the Natural History Museum, The British Museum and The Science Museum. You’ll be spoiled for choice!

Tenerife, The Canary Islands

If you’re looking for something a little more relaxing from your vacation, why not head to Tenerife, one of the beautiful Canary Islands. Home to the top water park in Europe, this island is also home to world class beaches which the kids will love to play on while the grown ups relax. Why not hire a car and explore the island’s hidden corners, or visit Mount Teide, a volcano in a National Park? You can also spend the day at Loro Parque Zoo – always a popular choice. There are lots of resorts here to choose from, many of which offer all-inclusive accommodation with kids clubs, sporting activities and entertainment – that’s your whole vacation sorted!
