Avant garde house of Pierre Cardin on the Cote d’Azur. The ‘bubble house’ of Tourrettes-sur-Loup, France, is only 35 years old and has yet to be finished, but that hasn’t stopped the French ministry of culture from listing it as a historic monument.Designed in the 70s by Hungarian architect Antti Lovag for fashion designer Pierre Cardin, the bubble house is futuristic yet organic, with lots of built-in furniture and oval, convex windows. The design is meant to take optimal advantage of the volcanic Côte d’Azur landscape, and its windows certainly provide a beautiful view of the Mediterranean.

Originally the house was being built for another client, unfortunately before the project was completed he passed away. Meanwhile, Cardin was searching for a new home in the area, but was not impressed by the ‘Normal’ houses, so when he found an almost complete house that matched his unique style, he was delighted.  So, since Pierre Cardin became the owner of the Bubble House, the place became known for its legendary festival parties and other grand events. Below, we have a photo collection of this cool house. Check them out to see how amazing this Bubble House is. Enjoy!
