Summer is just around the corner, and we wish to arrive in our best shape at that time of the year. Although everyone thinks that we can only achieve that with arduous work, we have come up with some tips to achieve our goal easier.

To start our journey to the sunny beaches, we will need proper apparel. Whether it’s clothing, trainers, or other material, you need to be ready, and the best way of doing so is to help your budget with some online discount codes.

Secondly, diet. The expression “abs are made in the kitchen” is an expression for a reason. 80% of your fitness comes from diet. Diet does not mean just chicken and broccoli (although they are an excellent food for you). It means eating healthy by incorporating different ingredients from the food pyramid. Certain foods we eat are beneficial, but we start gaining weight if we don’t eat them moderately. For the most part, everything we eat can be classified as healthy if we consume them reasonably. Calories in vs calories out is an essential aspect in our lives, and a great way to track the calories is with apps that measure them. Stay away from processed foods, refined sugar, and lower the number of carbs you eat on a daily basis.

Thirdly, gym. Exercising is fundamental to getting fit. We recommend starting smoothly and gradually increasing the intensity step by step. Take it slow and steady and begin using weights. The more muscle you build, the more calories your body will burn while resting.

Sometimes we see a common misconception that the only way to lose weight is to do cardio, but something that needs to be understood is that weight does not just mean fat. It also includes bone mass, your organs, and muscle. You can increase in weight while having less fat and looking fantastic. Muscle weighs more than fat so you may be increasing in weight but dropping the fat level your body is storing. If you want to know more about your body composition, it’s best to purchase a body composition scale that will help you see your fat percentage and track your progress more accurately. Day to day, we will see fluctuations; however it is nothing to worry about. Just be sure to continue monitoring and watch your levels.

Fourthly, water. Water is an integral part of losing fat as it helps your metabolism function, and helps with the overall function of your body. It is the main life source for a reason. You should drink 2.7 litres for women and 3.7 litres for men of water a day, every day without exception. You should be running to the toilet every 30 minutes, and your urine should be clear, so clear you think to yourself, should I even flush the toilet?

Lastly, sleep. Sleep, like water, is essential for your body to function. Without it, our muscles won’t grow, we will not be able to metabolise fat, and our digestion would suffer. Sleep is essential, and we should get at least 8 hours of it a day. This will help bring everything together, and we will start losing fat and getting fit in no time!
