Too early or too late?
When is the right time for Christmas Decor? There are a few things that you should consider. Christmas lights can be hanged even after Halloween. These ones are okay to be there for Thanksgiving, because of the warm atmosphere they create. Although we call them Christmas lights, it is not a mistake if you put them up a bit earlier.
For the other decorations, you should wait until Thanksgiving has passed. Even then, you can tuck away the fall-themed decorations and switch to Christmas mode. The usual color scheme for the fall holidays is consisted of warm and earthy colors that represent the scenery itself. While on the other hand, Christmas is represented by the combination of green and red. The last days of November are perfect to make the change. Start with hanging the traditional Christmas themed wreath even the day after Thanksgiving day.
And how about the Christmas tree?
This one mainly depends on the type of Christmas tree that you plan to have. If a natural tree is your choice, then keep in mind that it will be fresh for only 4 weeks. This means that the weekend after Thanksgiving is the time to put it up. If you do it too early, it will dry out and lose it’s shape on the day of Christmas.
